Each year The George Snow Scholarship Fund presents its annual Community Service Award to an individual who has shown an ongoing commitment toward improving the quality of life in our community. The Fund recently announced its intention to present this prestigious distinction to Michael Daszkal, Managing Partner of Daszkal Bolton, for his work in helping the many causes he has championed throughout the years.

“It’s an honor to receive this award,” says Daszkal. “My commitment to The George Snow Scholarship Fund stems from admiration for what they do and the difference they make for deserving students. We know the impact a good education has on one’s life. The Scholarship Fund has a lasting impact on these scholars’ lives. It’s not a difference of four years. It’s a difference that lasts a lifetime and beyond as they succeed and set examples for generations to come.”

A sampling of Daszkal’s other commitments to community service for which he is being recognized include his service as President of Propel, a local organization committed to supporting educational achievement and leadership development of the area’s less fortunate youth. Additionally, he is an honorary lifetime member and board director of The Haven. Daszkal has also served on a number of other boards of directors, including the South Florida Technology Alliance, Enterprise Development Corporation, and the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce.

Each year, this award is presented at the organization’s Caribbean Cowboy Ball. This year’s event, the 23rd of its kind, will take place on January 30, 2016 at Red Reef Park in Boca Raton from 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. The event is known for its blend of styles as guests are encouraged to wear Caribbean or western fashions or a combination of both.

Daszkal Bolton invites others to join us at the event to celebrate this honor with our managing partner. Tickets for the event as well as congratulatory advertisements in the evening’s program may be purchased online.

The George Snow Scholarship Fund is based in Boca Raton, Florida. The organization provides educational grants many of the brightest and most deserving young scholars in the area. The scholarships are four-year commitments designed to bridge a gap between other financial aid and the students and their families are able to afford.
