Audit Manager/Senior Manager

(5-10 years) (Boca Raton or Sunrise)

Managers are essentially partners-in-training and are involved in almost all areas for which partners are responsible. Responsibilities include all phases of audit, compilation and review engagements assigned, including planning meetings, fieldwork supervision, client system documentation, ratio reviews to determine the scope of testing, inquiry and further analysis, risk assessment evaluation, and engagement approach development. Supervises staff in the preparation of work papers to document financial statements and tax returns. Previous experience in progressively challenging, relevant positions. CPA designation required.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the job include, but are not limited to, the following: • Manages, directs, and monitors multiple auditing and accounting projects and client engagements simultaneously, schedules and coordinates workflow and staffing for audit projects and engagements • Plans, executes, directs, and completes audit engagements in a wide variety of industries • Responsible for all phases of audit, compilation and review engagements assigned, including planning meetings, fieldwork supervision, client system documentation, ratio reviews to determine the scope of testing, inquiry and further analysis, risk assessment evaluation, and engagement approach development • Possesses the skill to perform an analytical review of financial statements, tax returns, footnotes, and management letters • Understands the client’s business and industry sufficiently to dispense general business advise; however, has developed a solid professional sense which demands documenting the circumstances and evaluating the risk in advising clients without checking with the Engagement Partner prior to doing so.

 

Audit Supervisor

(3-5 years) (Boca Raton or Sunrise)

Audit Supervisors are responsible for larger, more complex engagements than Audit Senior Associates and may manage two or more engagements simultaneously. Supervisors assume responsibility for supervising engagements and special assignments, may review workpapers and financial statements, and communicate with clients on a one-on-one basis. Supervisors exhibit the same positive characteristics as Managers. Supervisors are responsible for complying with pronouncements of professional and other regulatory groups. CPA designation required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the job include, but are not limited to, the following: • Works to develop responsible, trained staff by assisting in recruiting, performance evaluations, developing training aids, and acting as an instructor in professional service programs (i.e., CPE) • Coordinates various phases of audit, compilation and review engagements assigned, including budgeting, planning, review of workpapers for accuracy and completeness, review of financial statements for suitability of presentation and adequacy of disclosures • Acts as a personal and career mentor to associates and senior associates • Supervises audit associates and provides on-the-job training.

 

Audit Senior Associate

(2-3 years) (Boca Raton, Jupiter, Sunrise)

Audit Senior Associates can perform most engagements with minimal direct supervision. This position provides the individual with responsibility for developing appropriate skills in applying accounting, auditing and tax theory and principles. When unusual situations arise, these individuals present the pertinent information to the engagement manager or partner and follow their advice. CPA designation is desired.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the job include, but are not limited to, the following: Requests and reviews information submitted by clients for completeness; communicates with clients regarding any questions or missing documentation Assists in the execution and completion of audit engagements in a wide variety of industries Develops skills in communicating through complete, accurate and neat workpaper schedules and other written and oral correspondence Learns to apply accounting and auditing theory to client situations; prepares and indexes workpapers; performs various procedures established under generally accepted accounting principles to verify accuracy and validity of client’s financial matters Participates in various phases of audit, compilation, and review engagements, including budgeting, planning, workpapers, checklists, correspondence, financial statements and disclosures  Supervises entry-level audit associates and provides on-the-job training.

 

Audit Executive

(3-5 years) (Boca Raton, Jupiter, Sunrise)

An Executive Audit Assistant performs high-level administrative duties for the Partners in the Audit Department as well as administrative support activities for multiple professional associates.

Essential Functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following: · Provides primary administrative support to partners and professional staff for all client documentation and correspondence, reports, financial statements, presentations and filing requirements · Proofreads, edits, formats and processes financial statements · Demonstrates superior skills within the Firm’s standard software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, ProSystems, Engagement Plus · Maintains a complete working knowledge of all business operations and procedures performed within the department ·  Fielding and returning telephone calls, receiving clients, scheduling, word processing (typing and formatting correspondence and reports), filing, scanning, copying and faxing · Prepares billing and invoices as assigned on routine basis, ensuring deadlines are met · Participates in daily kitchen responsibilities, including loading and unloading dishwashers, cleaning counters, running dishwasher as needed.

 

Tax Senior Manager

(8-10 years) (Boca Raton, Sunrise and/or Jupiter)

Senior Managers are essentially partners-in-training and are involved in almost all areas for which partners are responsible. They exhibit technical proficiency and the ability to supervise and complete engagements, possess a thorough knowledge of the Firm’s policies and procedures, and serve as intermediaries between partners, clients and associates. Responsibilities include planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects in a wide variety of industries. Participates actively in client meetings and tax planning efforts to assist the Auditing and Accounting Department with larger, multi-disciplinary clients. Previous experience in progressively challenging, relevant positions. CPA designation required. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the job include, but are not limited to, the following: • Manages, directs and monitors multiple client service teams on client engagements • Plans, executes, directs, and complete tax projects in a wide variety of industries • Interacts closely with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise • Acts as a resource for tax preparers and audit associates on specific tax issues and/or questions • Assumes tax preparation responsibility for the more complex business returns • Works closely with partners and associates on client management • Plans the timing and assignment of staff to engagements • Participates in regular management meetings, assuming leadership for task forces and/or special projects as needed • Actively markets and cross-sells the various services provided by the Firm • Works to develop responsible, trained staff by assisting in recruiting, performance evaluations, developing training aids, and acting as an instructor in professional service programs (i.e., CPE)

 

Tax Manager

(6-8 years) (Boca Raton, Sunrise, Jupiter and/or Hybrid)

Managers are essentially partners-in-training and are involved in almost all areas for which partners are responsible. They exhibit technical proficiency and the ability to supervise and complete engagements, possess a thorough knowledge of the Firm’s policies and procedures, and serve as intermediaries between partners, clients and associates. CPA designation required. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the job include, but are not limited to, the following: • Manages, directs and monitors multiple client service teams on client engagements • Provides primary and secondary review of complicated or complex tax returns • Performs technical tax review and approval of assigned tax returns and governmental tax examinations of any complexity • Prepares client billing • Manages tax research projects to achieve an accurate and efficient product • Plans the timing and assignment of staff to engagements • Maintains familiarity with qualifications of all tax associates under his/her supervision • Reviews work of associates under his/her supervision to ensure that a quality “product” is consistently delivered within established deadlines • Supervises tax associates and provides on-the-job training • Works to develop responsible, trained staff by assisting in recruiting, performance evaluations, and developing training aids.

Senior Staff Accountant, Family Office Services

(2-3 years) (Jupiter)

Our Jupiter Family Office is seeking a Senior Accountant for our fast-growing practice. The role requires a high-energy, experienced professional with great interpersonal skills, flexibility, and exceptional organizational skills. Prior family office or public accounting experience, along with your CPA license is strongly preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:

Accountable for full accounting cycle, i.e., proper posting of all financial transactions to general ledger, general ledger maintenance, generation/posting of all journal entries, monthly close, and preparation of financial reports • Oversee the accounting functions for families that includes accounts payable, ensuring accurate legitimate invoices and payments are processed in a timely manner • Gather and examine the financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and documenting business transactions • Prepare periodic account reconciliations including bank and personal investment accounts • Monitor quality, verify information, and check accuracy of own work • Demonstrates a high level of technical proficiency • Prepare monthly/quarterly financial packages for clients with related workpapers • Assist with the preparation/review of financial statements, tax return, and portfolio reports • Staying up to date with current technical developments and pending issues crucial to the client and firm • Carry out special projects and other duties as assigned

Accounts Payable Clerk, Family Office Services

(2-3 years) (Jupiter)

The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the Family Office group.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the job include, but are not limited to, the following: • Receiving and verifying expense reports • Reconciling expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records • Facilitating payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies • Ensuring outstanding obligations are credited upon payment • Identifying discount opportunities, and issuing purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed  • Assisting with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions • Scanning, mail processing • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities  QuickBooks experience is a plus.

Accounts Receivable Associate

Our Finance dept. is looking for an Accounts Receivable Associate/Assistant to support the team with the overall responsibility of assisting the Firm’s billing/collection activities on an on-going, daily basis.  Reports to the Finance Supervisor (Boca or Sunrise office)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the job include, but are not limited to, the following: · Assist with billing/collections procedures to ensure Firm wide compliance · Maintains accurate client records within the Firm’s client database (STAR); keeps track of name changes, address changes, and mailing attentions for all clients; relays this information to the appropriate personnel · Database management – make changes to client profiles as needed/requested · Performs other duties and assists in special projects as requested · Provides various administrative assistance in daily operations as requested Billing Responsibilities: · Ensure automatic retainer billing is set up according to client engagement letters · Meet with account managers on a regular and on-going basis to ensure billing is being completed timely · Create invoices on an as needed basis according to direction received from account managers/partners · Maintain/Review · Billing control log (Edit List) and follow up with Staff & Partners until completion · Deliver invoices to clients based on Firm policies Collection Responsibilities: · Monthly and as needed/requested – reports and client contact · Process credit card and eCheck payments · Record cash receipts – provide backup to Finance Supervisor as needed
