James is a Senior Manager in the Audit & Assurance Services practice. He is responsible for performing audits and providing consultation services for public and privately-held companies, with emphasis on assisting public companies in maintaining compliance with SEC regulations. James focuses on serving companies in the bio-technology, manufacturing, private equity and distribution industries. Additionally, he provides advisory services on agreed-upon procedures, performs due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, and identifies risk factors within a business’ financial structure or internal controls.
Prior to joining Daszkal Bolton, James worked for Grant Thornton as Manager-in-Charge of Audit Services. In this position, he managed complex audits for middle-market private and Fortune 1000 companies. He was closely involved with review and filing of periodic reporting requirements of the SEC, including Forms 10K and 10Q. During his tenure at Grant Thornton, James participated in a three month rotation in Sydney, Australia where he supervised public and private company audits utilizing International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
James is an active member of BioFlorida, the South Florida Technology Alliance, and the Enterprise Development Corporation.
James received his Master of Business Administration from Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business, a Master of Arts and Liberal Studies and a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and secondary education from SUNY Stony Brook. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. James is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant through the State of New York.
