Art is a Partner with Daszkal Bolton and founder of the firm’s professional athlete and celebrity niche practice, Game Plan. Since coining the phrase Sports Accountant in the mid-1980s, he has become one of the most experienced and respected sports accountants in the industry. Art develops comprehensive and coordinated financial plans, including financial management, tax planning and compliance, risk management, and business advisory services for his clients. Art also assists his clients with second career planning, ensuring a smooth transition to their next profession from the sports industry. He continues to act as his clients’ trusted advisor beyond their sports and entertainment careers.

As a registered financial advisor with the National Football League (NFL) Players Association, Art has advised and provided financial management services to hundreds of professional athletes and entertainers. Early in his career, Art recognized the unique accounting and financial needs of professional athletes and sought to develop a platform from which to provide those specific services. In 1987, he became a founding father and Chief Financial Officer of a full service sports management company. With a desire to specialize solely in the financial and business consulting aspect of sports management, Art founded Game Plan Financial in 2003.

Art has a Master of Science in Taxation from Bryant College and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Rhode Island. He has served as as guest lecturer at Boston College Law School and the University of Massachusetts’ Sports Management Program. As a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Art has been active in the Personal Financial Planning and National Tax Committees. Art is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant.
